UAE Trademark Registry has announced that the publication of trademarks in two local newspapers is no longer required. However, publication of trademarks in the Trademark Gazette is mandatory and 30 days opposition period will be calculated from the date of Gazette publication. As per the new policy, Trademark Gazette will be published every fortnight instead of once in a month.
